Broadband Service Questionnaire:
As we know, the Broadband service in the area is variable and in some cases non-existent.
An independent communications consultant has devised a series of questions to ascertain the needs of the local community with a view to possibly offering superior alternatives – which may potentially be more cost effective.

Over Stowey Parish Council Projector and Screen
The Parish Council would like to express their thanks to Magnox for the grant that was agreed to purchase a projector and screen. It will help to reduce the amount of paper used when reviewing documents and planning applications and make it more accessible for all. The equipment is also intended to be of benefit to the local community and will be available to use at Over Stowey Village Hall. If you wish to use these items for a meeting, presentation, training session or any other event, please contact the Clerk to make the necessary arrangements. The Parish Council hope that the equipment will be an asset to many groups, whether professionally or socially and are grateful to Magnox for helping to support the local area.

Stowey Shuttle
We are delighted to announce that the Stowey Shuttle car sharing scheme went live on Monday 3rd October.
This is a local community volunteer led car based travel scheme called the Stowey Shuttle. It will be operated by volunteer drivers driving their own vehicles. It is designed to help people who have difficulty using public transport or who must travel to or from locations where there is no public transport available.
The types of journey this scheme is designed to support are Primarily health and care-related appointments and if we have the capacity things such as shopping in town.
It is available to residents in the Parishes of Nether and Over Stowey who need to make journeys in the local area.
The cost to the passenger is worked out on miles travelled and they will be told this before completing their booking. The drivers offer their time freely and in return receive expenses in respect of the mileage they incur.
We require at least 48 hours notice to set up the lifts.
From 3rd October the number to call is 07943923742
